Pulmonology
The pulmonology department manages acute and chronic respiratory diseases. Our pulmonologists diagnose and treat asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchial cancers and respiratory failure.
Asthma and COPD
The management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) relies on a complete clinical and radiological assessment, patient therapeutic education and adjustment of inhaled treatment according to the latest recommendations.
Infections and pneumopathies
Community-acquired pneumonia, pleurisy and severe respiratory infections are managed as inpatients with appropriate antibiotic therapy. Bronchoscopy allows etiological diagnosis and drainage of collections.
Bronchial cancers and thoracic oncology
Bronchial cancers are diagnosed by bronchoscopy and chest imaging (CT scan), then discussed in a multidisciplinary tumour board with oncologists and surgeons. Chronic respiratory failure is followed up with non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy.
